9mo post-op, 6/04 205lbs. New day at the beach w/ Rosco. He now appreciates the fact that he gets WALKED and enjoys the trips to the beach.

Pre-op 32nd bday 6/03 365lbs. Parents made me this giant Kokopelli out of corrigated plastic and painted it. One of my favorite bday gifts of all time.

9mos post-op 33rd bday 6/04 205lbs. Was trying to break the 200 century mark by my bday but didn't do it for anotehr 20 days. But that's ok, I DID IT! Ben down 60lbs from 6/03, he's "thinking" about the surgery.....

Pre-op 8/16/03, 340lbs Lisa, Staci & Amy annual LapSF picnic. Amy and Lisa were the first two to point me to the DS. We call ourselves the triplets because we are so much alike (body wise) and have all had the DS. Even today they are a huge source of support to me. I couldn't have made it through all these ups and downs without their advise and experience. Lisa is one year ahead of me, Amy is two so their experiences have gotten me through mine.

10 almost 11mos post-op 7/31/04 198lbs, Steve (now deceased), Amy, Staci & Anita at Dominio Night at Amy's. So much fun. Steve and Anita are also weightloss buddies. We love getting together.

LAST DAY Pre-op 9/11/03, 340lbs Ben & I w/ Dr Jossart day before surgery SO excited. Not scared a bit. I know I'll be in good hands in the morning.....

1yr post-op 9/9/04, at goal 175lbs Me & Dr. J 1yr checkup. He was so proud of me!

7 days Post-op 9/19/03, 325lbs. Wynonna concert at Mountain Winery. I never miss this concert and was in no pain. So we were able to go. I sang with her and cried during the whole show. The next day my tummy hurt so bad from all the singing but it was worth it.

9/1/04, 175lbs. 11 days before 1Yr anniversary. Wynonna concert at Mountain Winery. Was feelin great this year and knew these pics would be a fun comparison.

2mos post-op, 11/03 296lbs UNDER 300lbs WOOHOO!

6mos post-op, 2/04 238lbs LOST 100lbs so far...

3 mo post-op, 12/24/03 (Our 4 yr ann.) 269lbs In front of the Christmas tree at Inn at Depot hill. We stayed there on our wedding night and we've gone back every year. SO romantic. Beautiful place.

9/12/04 175lbs. Dinner with parents to celebrate the journey. Was coming down with the flu this day and didn't know what hell was coming. But I recovered. It was just a sad way to spend this great day. But I felt so blessed to be sitting there, alive, well and free of obesity for the first time in 33 years!

6mos post-op 2/04, down 100lbs, 238lbs in the jeans I wore almost daily before surgery. One of two pairs of pants that fit at the time.

1yr at goal 9/04, 175lbs can fit all of me in one side of the same jeans. They are so long too. Funny how I always needed "tall pants" and don't anymore.....

7mo post- op 3/04 230lbs. Now, this is FUNNY! We went to MI to visit my best friend and her family. She hadn't seen me since I'd lost the 100lbs. I was in a size 18 by then. Had fun shopping together (for the first time ever) in this store where every item was under 10.00. So cool (since all my clothes have always cost over 30 an item). Anywho, we call this the "chinese hooker" outfit because, well I look like it in the pic. Gotta love the black socks and shoes. Fits way too tight and looked like hell but I loved the outfit anyway. I had to buy this if only for the future stories I could tell. So I bought it. Thought maybe someday I'd fit into it.....

Well slap my butt and call me a "reformed chinese hooker" cuz 6months later 9/04 175lbs, it's too big and my mom had to take 5 inches off each side. HILARIOUS! But see it really is cute when it's not streched out beyond recognition. Don't you think it's lost its charm without the black socks and shoes?

9 mo post-op, 33rd bday 6/05/04 205lbs. Mom took me on a shopping trip for all new clothes. We hadn't gone shopping together for clothes in over 19years. Was always a horrible experience filled with tears and empty bags. Nothing ever fit. Was so hard of me and onher too. But this time WAS DIFFERENT....Bought these cute jammies in a Large. Never bought a "large" anything before. Was always 2x,3x,4x etc. Had a fun fashion show when we got back to her house. Grandma, hubby, dad, uncle, everyone sitting around to see......

Bought these Levi's 501 (my first pair ever) in a size 14. Was so great. And this cute halter top, just couldn't believe it was really me in those clothes....I just cracked up during the fashion show....

Again, with the cute smaller butt everyone wanted to point out and I'm pointing to the size sticker on the leg for PROOF it was a 14.

And my favorite Tommy Hilfiger outfit. Never had a whole one of those before. Just so much fun to have all new clothes. We wondered how long I'd get to enjoy them before I changed sizes again......it was only 4 weeks. Broke my heart. I still have some of the stuff and we've altered it.

10 mos post op, 7/04 196lbs UNDER 200LBS FINALLY and NEVER to return AGAIN!! Ben & I with our good friend GLEN CURTIS (now deceased) We're in Hollister for the yearly biker rally. First year we were there until dark. Didn't have to leave early due to how much our feet hurt or how we couldn't handle the heat. No longer miserable at these types of things.

9/04, 175lbs. Night at the Wy concert. Ben & I with Dave & Lori.. Lori is a fellow weightloss buddy too.We had such a great time this night. Front row seats. Wy talked to us several times. Was able to give her hubby our letters we'd written to her. I gave her a pic of my Harley I had named after her and shared my weightloss story with Wy as she's stuggling publicly to battle her weight. Her music has always meant so much to me, I wanted to give back to her a little.

12mo post-op 9/25/04 Mom's 55th bday lunch. 167lbs. Dropped a few from where I want to be due to the bad flu I had but working to bring it back up and maintain it. Always something new with this journey....

My whole life people said I looked like my dad. Now I hear I look like my mom.....I don't know, what do you think? I think I look like STACI for the first time ever. This is the girl who's always looked back at me in the mirror. I've looked like others my whole life cuz I didnt look like ME until NOW.

Couldn't resist including a pic of each of our guys......

Rosco P. Cole Train age 3, 65lbs and growing....

This is his happy face and his sad face and his hungry face.....

Sir. Hampton Von-Wrinkles age 4, 55lbs and shrinking....
